Bug Fixes in Overseer Version
1.805
The following bugs in Overseer 1.804 were fixed in version 1.805.
1. Admin/LAN: When viewing class time-tables via the Class | Time-table tabsheet, the concurrent teacher duties table was not updated reliably at the bottom of the Time-table tabsheet while scrolling between classes via the Class list box.
2. Admin: When viewing teacher duties via the Teacher | Duties tabsheet, the class subjects taught during the concurrent time period were not updated reliably at the bottom of the Duties tabsheet while scrolling between teachers via the Teacher list box.
3. Admin/LAN: Several screens did not display correctly when a non-standard scroll-bar width or title-bar height was selected via the Windows | Display | Properties | Appearance screen.
4. Admin: When adding a child or adult member to a family via the Family | Members | Add Child or Family | Members | Add Adult button, if the constraint button is clicked, and one or more constraints are selected, then the following error message could appear: “Access violation at address …”.
5. Admin/LAN: Some text dialogs did not display clearly when running under Windows 95 because of redundant line feeds embedded in the messages.
6. Admin/LAN: The cells for recording the Overall Average marks via the Class | Marks tabsheet were not
correctly bound to the database with the consequence that any attempt to edit
the Overall Average marks was not properly
preserved in the database.
7. Admin/LAN: There was a
bug in printing student attendance information on custom report cards for
schools using Daily (not Term) attendance recording. (Note that, if the Daily attendance option is
active, then the Attend tabsheet will appear on Student detail screens).
8. Admin/LAN/Reports: On printing a report card for a design that contained a blank text field design element (should not occur normally anyway), a “Divide by Zero” error message was reported and printing failed.
9. Admin/LAN: The word “Affiliations” was incorrectly spelled in the Child, Adult, Family and Organization profile reports.
10. Reports: When printing test or blank report card templates, no title was given to the print file for display within the Windows Print Job Queue.
11. Grades: Obtained the error message “‘ERR’ is not a valid floating point value” when attempting to close a subject area file having a test score which is invalid.
Note that any of the Overseer Admin, LAN, Grades and/or Reports applications may be updated from 1.804 to 1.805 independent of the other applications.
Also, none of the above upgrades is critical to the printing of OACS reports for terms 2 or 3, although software updates, especially for Admin and LAN, are recommended.
If running Overseer Admin or LAN on a Windows XP platform, be sure to read the installation instructions which call for use of the Windows Classic theme.
