Documentation
Several documents are available to assist users in understanding, installing and using the Overseer software.
The first table contains documents in pdf format which can be immediately downloaded. If you have trouble downloading any of the pdf files, try downloading the corresponding exe file, execute the file to install the pdf file in a local directory on your PC, then open the pdf file via Adobe’s Acrobat Reader (available free from www.adobe.com).
The first five documents form the Overseer Primer which is distributed in hard copy format with Overseer Admin and Overseer Suite software licenses.
Overseer for Office Administrators is a new color manual, with plenty of graphics, which was written by an experienced user to help office administrators become familiar with using Overseer Admin in the school office.
The Overseer Quick Start Manual contains specific information which will enable a single teacher to install and use Overseer Grades on a stand-alone computer in a school which does not have Overseer Admin installed in the school office.
The Overseer Users Guide to OACS Report Cards contains important information for schools within the Ontario Alliance of Christian Schools (OACS) to assist in implementing the custom report cards purchased from the OACS office.
Readiness Tests of Overseer Network Solutions is a guideline for schools using the OACS custom report cards on a local area network. It also contains support questions indicative of the level of understanding needed by an Overseer Staff Specialist in order to support other users within the local school.

The first three files in the second table contain compressed files of the Windows help documentation distributed with the Overseer applications. These give more detailed insight into how each application works. Simply download any of the zip files and open it via WinZip (see www.winzip.com) or other unzip utility. If you have trouble downloading any of the zip files, try downloading the corresponding exe file, execute the file to install the zip file in a local directory on your PC, then open the zip file via any unzip utility program. Execute any of the *.hlp files under any Windows operating system to view the help documentation.
The next file contains a new teacher's handbook for users of Overseer Grades and Overseer LAN. This manual was written explicitly for internal use in a particular school as a step-by-step teacher's guide. It is written as a Word document which can be readily customized by other schools.
The last file contains a sample custom report card design file and logo graphic file. In order to use these, you must install Overseer Admin on your computer, copy the logo file to the …<Program Files>\Robust Software\Overseer\DemoDB file, select the Demo database via Overseer Admin, then install the custom report card design file for one or more classes (see directions within Overseer Admin help documentation).
